Key Expertise: Programming, Audience development, Working with staff and volunteers.
With 15 years’ experience in the independent sector, Rosie has an in-depth working knowledge of London cinema audiences, UK film culture and experience of both cinema and non-theatrical programming.
Rosie programmes the Lexi as one of London’s only true indie screens with a year-round programme of first run cinema, including a popular documentary strand with regular Q & As. She also programmes 80+ pop-up screenings a year for Nomad’s calendar of cult, classic and contemporary film.
She has a passion for collaborative community projects and a track record in successful audience development, and has received funding from the ICO as well as Film London for film projects at the Lexi and the Nomad – including our current Shorts and Archive project for Nomad and Shakespeare in London, coming to the Lexi in September.
Rosie is experienced in change management within venues, and recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers. She oversaw the Lexi’s transition to a fully volunteer run front of house – the scheme won an award for best practise in its first year. Both the Lexi and the Nomad are staffed by an army of volunteers and Rosie also manages the popular Nomad summer internship scheme.
Rosie is an alumna of the Independent Cinema Office (ICO) Cultural Cinema course for programmers, and ELEVATE Cultural Leadership training with the ICO and Film Distributors Association (FDA).
