Rachel Gnagniko is a French-Togolese consultant specialising in equality, diversity and inclusion living in the UK.
She has successfully conducted focus groups, policy writing, and workshops for various organisations, including arts organisations engaged in enhancing their creative case for diversity, e.g., Storyhouse, Heart of Glass, The Reader, Open Eye Gallery, and FACT (Foundation for Arts and Creative Technologies). She also founded the charity Cocorico&Cie and worked with Toulouse City Council and the US embassy to spread the values of Dr Martin Luther King Jr, organising events around equality, diversity, and inclusion for a broad audience. In 2019, she was invited to present her Action Research around Diversity and Narratives at the 7th Biennial Conference Network Afroeuropeans, including her analysis of the contribution of the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool to the European conversation around the racial narrative. She also examined the impact of literary and cinematographic narratives on understanding differences.
Rachel's consultancy practice is skill's development focused and her aim is always to help organisations and staff enhancing their skills and gain confidence in addressing EDI related matters. She developed an effective framework to help organisations keep an eye on the big picture and the complex areas of EDI. Her hollostic approach to valuing people through diversity allow users to quickly gain an understanding of EDI and develop actions-oriented strategies for a more inclusive art and film sector.
