Morvern worked at Edinburgh's Filmhouse for a period of six years whilst graduating with an MSc in Cultural Management and Policy from Queen Margaret University in 2006. She has gone on to run a variety of film exhibition events across Glasgow and Edinburgh on a freelance basis including Future Shorts, KinoKlub and VHS Trash Fest, and now currently works as a freelance arts producer.
She has also been involved in projects such as Scalarama and Scottish Queer International Film Festival in recent years. Her current projects include: Project Officer of Grow Your Own Cinema, which seeks to nurture film exhibition skills and stimulate community cinemas in rural and remote parts of Scotland; Producer at Glasgow Short Film Festival, responsible for larger event production and development; and Director at LeithLate, a primarily visual arts organisation which runs a number of public arts initiatives and large-scale events annually.
