Seven years running FilmBath (previously Bath Film Festival); ten years as a producer/director of documentaries - for Channel 4, BBC, Discovery etc working at independent television companies around London.
Managing up as well as down and working with volunteers are probably the skills I most lacked when I started working at FilmBath and which I have consciously developed and worked on. When I joined the film festival 7 years ago the organisation was a small venture with quite a small and very local reach. I have been expanding our reach through marketing and PR and the festival now has a much greater reach, is much better known and is starting to be known around the world. Our social media presence has expanded from 15 followers on Facebook when I started to over 18,000 across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Linked In, Pinterest and You Tube.
