Alex is the Festival Director at Fringe! Queer Film & Arts Fest, London’s alternative, community-based LGBT film festival, which he co-founded in 2011. There he worked on almost all aspects of running a film festival spanning areas from film and events programming, press & marketing, event production, fundraising and managing staff and volunteers.
He has also been working at Open City Documentary Festival since 2014, first as production manager and since 2015 as marketing manager, overseeing both marketing for the festival and for Open City Docs School courses. With a background in event management he has also worked as a freelancer for BFI London Film Festival, Peccadillo Pictures, The Smalls Film Festival as well as on his own events.
